RS 2024/25 Harvest: corn harvest reaches 8% of crops
Emater/RS highlights the impacts of climate conditions on soybeans, corn, rice and beans
The forecast for the coming days indicates dry weather in most regions of Rio Grande do Sul, with the possibility of isolated storms. This is what is indicated in the Integrated Agrometeorological Bulletin 02/2025, from the Secretariat of Agriculture, Livestock, Sustainable Production and Irrigation (Seapi), in partnership with Emater/RS and the Rio Grande do Sul Rice Institute (Irga).
Friday (10 / 01), Saturday (11/01) e Sunday (12/01): Cloudiness is expected to predominate in most of the state due to the frontal system moving over the ocean, with higher temperatures in the western and northwestern regions. On these dates, the possibility of rain clouds and even isolated storms, i.e., rain accompanied by thunderstorms and short-lived lightning, mainly between the central and northern regions of the state, cannot be ruled out. Between Saturday and Sunday, the approach of a post-frontal migratory anticyclone to the state is expected to influence temperatures, making them milder compared to previous days.
Monday (13 / 01) e Tuesday (14/01): the highlight will be the persistent action of a migratory anticyclone on the coast of the state, which will favor conditions of overcast to partly cloudy skies throughout the state of Rio Grande do Sul. Temperatures should remain mild in all regions, but tend to rise from Tuesday onwards.
Wednesday (15 / 01): the forecast indicates a strong increase in temperatures in Rio Grande do Sul, due to the change in the direction of low-level jets, which will start to act over the state.
The forecast for next week indicates the possibility of rain in the Central and Northern regions of the State, with forecast volumes of up to 20 mm. On the coast, isolated low-intensity rains may occur throughout the period.
