The drop in temperatures in the South and Southeast of Brazil over the past week limited citrus consumption. Thus, orange prices weakened.

The weekly average for pear oranges was R$35,23/box of 40,8 kg, on the tree, a slight drop of 0,7% compared to the previous week.

In the international citrus market, the possibility of this year's hurricane season in the Northern Hemisphere being above normal has left North American citrus growers on alert. This is because the phenomenon brings additional risks to the orange harvest in the state of Florida, already marked by a decrease in production in recent years, especially due to greening.
