Falling movement in corn prices continues

O downward movement continues to be observed in domestic corn prices, according to information from Cepea. From November 5th to 12th, the Indicator ESALQ/BM&FBovespa (Campinas – SP) fell 4,46%, closing at R$82,75/bag of 60 kg this Friday the 12th.

Buyers remain away from the national spot market. On the selling side, some analyze need to “make cash” and others are more willing to negotiate, aiming to free up space in warehouses for the arrival of the summer harvest.

In addition Furthermore, exports continue to slow down and estimates released last week passed by Conab indicated possible good productivity in the 2021/22 harvest.
