Dow launches new Powercane technology during Fenasucro & Agrocana 2018

Dow, with more than 30 years of experience in the sugar and alcohol market, launches, during Fenasucro & Agrocana 2018, Powercane; the new technology developed to control extreme situations of foam generation caused by the various variations that can occur throughout the harvest and which directly impact productivity in the sugarcane fermentation process.

“This new technology was developed based on Dow’s extensive experience in the sugar and alcohol segment and its strong commitment to innovation in this sector”, highlights Gustavo Ricci, Sales Director at Dow. The power of Powercane can be translated into more freedom in choosing types of yeast and saving on the anti-foam used throughout the fermentation process.

By acting preventively in the formation of foam, the performance of the new technology contributes to increased productivity in the vat, as it allows plants to make better use of their installed capacity. Powercane has immediate action and is a solution that is easy to store, handle and incorporate into the process in plants.

Powercane is produced in Brazil with the aim of being closer to the sugar and alcohol industry and meeting the needs of the plants with greater speed, assertiveness and quality.

During the event, Dow will give four technical lectures to participants, presenting its solutions for the sugar and alcohol market:
