Committed to offering the best solution for the producer, in addition to all the support so that they have greater productivity and profitability in their business, Dow AgroSciences will take to the 28th edition of the Show Rural Coopavel, which takes place from February 01st to 05th, in Cascavel (PR), a series of actions that focus on the farmer's needs and the improvement of agribusiness, offering highly technological products for cultivation and innovations in biotechnology.

The main highlight will be the Good Agricultural Practices Tent, whose main objective will be to show how these initiatives contribute to optimizing resources, reducing the impact on the environment and providing greater sustainability for agribusiness. “We will bring the most efficient solutions to benefit rural producers, combining the best management recommendations through integrated practices at all stages of the cultivation and production process. To achieve this, we invest in technology and education”, explains Ana Cristina Pinheiro, coordinator of Good Agricultural Practices at Dow AgroSciences.

In the Tent, three themes will be presented in an interactive way:

· Application Technology - a Drift Simulator, equipment developed in partnership with the Universidade Estadual Paulista (UNESP) in Botucatu, will enable the simulation of real wind conditions and droplet sizes in applications. Thus, participants will be able to visualize the real effect of using each type of technology (tips and working pressure), according to the wind speed at the time of application, avoiding drift in the application of agricultural pesticides.

· Management of Weed Resistance – will present, through a digital platform, management concepts and strategies, in which the farmer will be able to identify tolerant and resistant weed plants in his crop and the best management recommendations.

· Insect Resistance Management - will address important aspects such as the refuge, which aims to ensure the management of biotechnology and guarantee the longevity of the technology

An agenda of chats will also be promoted with the public about Weed Resistance and also about Enlist™, a Weed Control System for Soybean and Corn crops that associates tolerance characteristics to established herbicide molecules, with different modes of action, in addition to herbicides with innovative formulation, making weed control more efficient and flexible. The Enlist Mini Auditorium program will be available at the company's stand.

News for soybean, corn and wheat crops

Dow AgroSciences will also bring to the Rural Show two new control alternatives for soybean, corn and wheat crops launched in 2015. The Exalt® insecticide, with its modern technology for controlling the caterpillar complex in soybean and corn and extremely high effect shock, and the herbicide Tricea®, a selective post-emergence for wheat crops with a broad spectrum of weed control.

The Exalt® insecticide has an exclusive mode of action and does not require a combination of active ingredients, acting quickly and efficiently to control the caterpillar complex in soybeans and corn, which protects the productive potential of the crop.

With a broad spectrum of control of ryegrass and other weeds with broad and narrow leaves, Tricea® has a greater residual effect, acting in the soil for much longer. As a consequence, the crop develops more consistently and with productivity gains.

Dow will also highlight the PowerCore™ technology, the first corn event with five staked genes approved in Brazil, which acts against the main pests and weeds of this crop. With performance above the market average, PowerCore™ reached the mark of 2014 million bags sold in 2.

In addition to the Good Agricultural Practices Tent and the Enlist Mini Auditorium, Dow will also hold a surprise Olympic activation on February 2,3, 4 and 2016, as it is an official sponsor and partner of the Rio XNUMX Olympic Games.
