Domestic coffee prices remain firm

Domestic prices for Arabica coffee are firm, supported by the reduction in sellers, according to information from Cepea. Coffee growers remain focused on field work.

The CEPEA/ESALQ Indicator for Arabica type 6, a hard drink for the better, placed in the capital of São Paulo, closed at R$ 816,11/bag of 60 kg this Tuesday, May 18, a small increase of 0,37% compared to on the 11th.

Harvest

The Arabica coffee harvest is starting gradually in most producing regions. For now, work is just beginning and should be intensified between the end of this month and June.

As for Robusta, activities are more intense. The volume harvested until last week reached 10% to 20% of the total in Espírito Santo; In Rondônia, this percentage is between 30% and 35%.
