All will have support from 75 mentors specialized in solving technical and product problems, as well as support from tools to improve the use of Cloud, Machine Learning and Ads. “In our recently released Impact Report, we realized how much startups have positively transformed agribusiness. There were innovations in production, logistics, financing and marketing in one of the most important sectors of the country's economy”, explained André Barrence, Director of Google for Startups for Latin America.
DigiFarmz, one of those selected, is a digital platform that seeks efficiency in the production process, in the cultivation of soybeans, wheat and soon also in corn cultivation, reducing costs and losses caused by diseases in the field. The startup arose from the need to produce more food in the world in a more sustainable way, with less environmental impact and reduced energy use. The purpose of the platform is to combine research data, climatological information, cultivar genetics, sowing dates, location and other parameters, to present intelligent recommendations that help producers, agronomists and consultants in the management of agricultural crops, presenting parameters for better harvesting. of decision. It currently has clients in Brazil and Paraguay, with the prospect of expanding to other countries.
The focus is to help producers, technical consultants and agricultural companies in assertiveness, preventing waste and environmental damage, with important suggestions on best practices in the field, assisting in anti-resistance management and mainly focusing on optimizing inputs and increasing productivity and profitability.
