Diesel price increases and ends October at R$6,11

Edenred points out that regular Diesel and S-10 registered an increase of 0,16% each compared to September

According to the latest analysis of the Edenred Ticket Log Price Index (IPTL), a survey that consolidates the price behavior of transactions at gas stations, providing an accurate average, regular diesel ended October with an average price of R$6,11, registering an increase of 0,16% compared to the end of the previous month. The same increase was also recorded for the S-10 type, which closed the period at R$6,18 in the same period.

“Despite the slight increase recorded in October, both types of diesel have remained at the same average price levels since August. Regionally, both fuels have also seen increases, with the exception of the South, which recorded a 0,17% drop in regular diesel in October,” analyzes Douglas Pina, General Director of Mobility at Edenred Brasil.

Still in the regional analysis, the South presented stability in diesel S-10, sold at an average of R$5,98, the same value recorded in September. In the Center-West of the country, the fuel also registered stability, being traded on average for R$6,26. 

In all other regions of the country, both types of diesel recorded increases in their average price. In the case of regular diesel, the highest increase was recorded in the North, at 1,20%. As a result, the fuel was traded at R$6,75 there, the highest value among the regions. In the case of S-10 diesel, the Southeast and Northeast recorded the highest increases, both at 0,16%, with the fuel reaching an average price of R$6,12 and R$6,21 in the respective regions. Even so, the region with the highest average price for S-10 diesel was the North, where it cost, on average, R$6,60, after an increase of 0,15%.

In the survey by state, IPTL found that the highest average for regular diesel was recorded in Acre, at R$7,41, after an increase of 1,09%. Santa Catarina appears as the state where drivers found the cheapest diesel: at R$5,88, after a drop of 0,84%.

The state with the largest increase in the average price of regular diesel was Amazonas, where it was traded at R$6,67 after rising 5,21%. Sergipe showed the largest decline, of 2,47%, with the average price there reaching R$6,33.

Regarding S-10 diesel, the highest average price recorded was in Amapá: R$7,46, even after a reduction of 0,40%. With these figures, the state also recorded the largest drop in the average price among the states in the country. The lowest average price of the period was identified in the state of Paraná: R$5,96, although the value represents an increase of 0,17% in relation to September. 

The biggest increase in S-10 diesel, of 1,04%, was observed in Rondônia, where the fuel started to be traded for R$6,81.
