The average price of a liter of regular diesel was sold at R$6,04 at the end of July and S-10 at R$6,17, both with an increase of 0,33% compared to the first half of the month. This is what data from the Edenred Ticket Log Price Index (IPTL) points out, which consolidates the price behavior of transactions at gas stations, providing an accurate average. “We entered the second half of the year with the most expensive diesel at gas stations in almost the entire country and the highest average price of the year for both types”, analyzes Douglas Pina, General Director of Mobility at Edenred Brasil.

In regional terms, the North had the highest average price in the country for both types of diesel, with common diesel at R$6,71 and S-10 at R$6,55. The stability recorded in the region in the price of common fuel was the only one among the others and the increase of 0,61% for the S-10 was the most significant in the entire country. In the Central-West, the biggest increase in the value of diesel was identified common, 1,16%, which closed at R$ 6,10.

The South Region stood out with the two cheapest types of diesel: R$5,91 for regular diesel and R$5,98 for S-10.

Among the States, the highest averages were found at the fuel pumps in Amapá, where the common closed July at R$7,37 and the S-10 at 7,45. The lowest were identified in Paraná, with the common at R$5,88 and the S-10 at R$5,96.

Still among the states, the most significant increase for regular diesel, of 3,82%, was identified in Rondônia, where a liter closed at R$6,53. As for the S-10, the 1,89% increase recorded in Amazonas, which closed with the average at R$6,46, was the highest among the other states. The state of Sergipe stood out with a 6,44% reduction in the value of regular diesel, the largest in the country, closing the month with a liter at R$6,97.

The IPTL is a fuel price index based on supplies made at the 21 thousand Edenred Ticket Log accredited stations, with a robust data science structure that consolidates the price behavior of transactions at the stations, providing a precise average, which has great reliability, due to the number of vehicles managed by the brand: more than 1 million, with an average of eight transactions per second. Edenred Ticket Log, a brand from Edenred Brasil's Mobility business line, has more than 30 years of experience and adapts to customer needs, offering modern and innovative solutions in order to simplify daily processes.
