Data from the latest analysis of the Edenred Ticket Log Price Index (IPTL), a survey that consolidates the price behavior of transactions at gas stations, showed that, in the first half of September, the average price of almost all fuels fell in the South, compared to the first half of August.

The exception was ethanol, which remained stable and was sold at R$4,55. S-10 diesel was sold at R$6,04, after a 0,33% drop; regular diesel fell 0,33%, being found at R$5,99; and gasoline fell 0,48%, reaching R$6,27.

"The diesel outlook in the Southern Region continued to be favorable in September, reversing the upward trend we saw previously. The price decline, which brought the price of regular diesel back below R$6, is important news for the transportation and logistics sectors. For light vehicle drivers, gasoline prices continued to decline, while ethanol remained stable, maintaining consumer choice. In the cost-benefit analysis, IPTL data indicates that gasoline remains the most financially advantageous option in Rio Grande do Sul and Santa Catarina, while in Paraná, ethanol is the most economical choice. Regardless of the price advantage, we emphasize that ethanol is always the most sustainable alternative, as it is a renewable fuel that contributes to reducing emissions," emphasizes Renato Mascarenhas, Supply Network Director at Edenred Mobilidade.
