The new Defensor family manages to combine characteristics of power, “intelligence” in application, economy and tank capacity. The Defensor 2500, with a tank capacity of 2.500 liters, and the Defensor 3500, with 3.500 liters, were developed to meet the needs of rural producers regardless of the crop.
“The sprayer is the machine that works the hardest on a crop, being used several times during the year. In the current agricultural reality, with climate fluctuations and shorter windows, rural producers are forced to have equipment with greater autonomy, but without wasting pesticides”, says Diego Torres, Product Marketing Specialist at New Holland Agriculture.
2500
The Defensor 2500 was designed to be the “protector” of crops. Equipped with a six-cylinder engine from FPT Industrial, with 175 hp of power, the new sprayer has more precision in application, on flat or steep terrain. “As a result, you can cover different terrain conditions without the effect of speed variations, a differentiator when applying pesticides”, highlights Torres. In this sense, the sprayer can perform perfect application on slopes of up to 21%.
With section cuts, you can inactivate nozzles when they are not needed, without wasting pesticides when overlapping. The Defensor 2500 can be purchased in 24 and 27 meter versions with two cutting options: 5 or 9 sections.
The Defender has more power without the increase in consumption. EcoCruise mode can be enabled for activities carried out on flatter terrain. When activated, it reduces the machine's rotation range without compromising the application. With it, savings in fuel consumption reach 15%.
3500
Also with six cylinders, the 3.500-liter self-propelled vehicle has 250 hp and a beam of 27, 30 or 36 meters. “But this does not mean that the sprayer will consume more fuel, on the contrary, with the FPT Industrial engine, a larger boom and a large tank, in the field the Defensor will not lose out in terms of economy”, highlights Torres.
The Defensor 3500 has a tank with a large supply capacity, which frees the producer from having to load the sprayer repeatedly. The boom has nine sections and a PWM pump, offering greater product savings and better spray management.
The Defensor family also has technologies that isolate the operator from external contact due to the pressurized cabin equipped with an activated carbon filter, in addition to operating comfort. Combined with safety and comfort, the products have a proportional weight distribution on the axles, avoiding damage to the land and culture. Another important feature is the possibility of working at night, as it has headlights that guarantee this condition and good frontal visibility, resulting in no harm to the operator.
