C.Vale managed to grow and will distribute surplus to members despite having stopped receiving 20 million bags of soy due to the drought during the 2021/22 harvest. The cooperative increased revenue to R$22,69 billion, which represents 20% compared to 2021.

As of Monday (6/2), members will receive more than R$107 million in surplus. Agroindustrialization, the good performance of soybeans in Mato Grosso and off-season corn in Paraná, among other factors, allowed the cooperative to increase its revenue and present surpluses to members.

“The large area of activity and the diversification of activities with industrialization allow us greater stability and constant growth, and are fundamental for our investment plans”, explained the president of C.Vale, Alfredo Lang, during a meeting attended by more of a thousand people, in Palotina, on February 3rd.

Lang cited as the main investments in 2022 the construction work of a soybean crusher, the opening of a supermarket in Rio Brilhante (MS) and the start of operations of a hatchery for 13,5 million chicks/month and a slaughterhouse for 200 thousand chickens/day, both in Iporã (PR). At the assembly, the showing of a video marked the virtual inauguration of the Weaned Piglet Production Unit, located in the Floresta district, in Palotina. C.Vale invested R$100 million in the project.

For 2023, the year in which C.Vale completes 60 years of founding, one of the cooperative's goals is to open the soybean crusher. The industry is receiving around R$1 billion in investments and will have the capacity to process 60 thousand bags/day .
