Brado, a white flag multimodal logistics operator (which can operate on any railway network), has just registered a new historical record in its operations. The company moved more than 100 thousand containers in 2022, considering its operations in the domestic market, exports and imports. The mark was reached last Thursday (8/12). The Company's projection is to close the year with around 110 thousand containers handled.
The result corresponds to an increase of 26% compared to the same period in 2021 -- from January 1st to December 8th. The domestic market, which comprises the stretch between Sumaré (SP) and Rondonópolis (MT), recorded the highest percentage growth, with 35%. More than 30 thousand containers were moved along this stretch in the period, with emphasis on animal nutrition (+119%), consumer goods (+49%), agrochemicals (+26%) and special corn (+26%).
“The numbers reinforce the success of our growth strategy serving the national market”, says Marcelo Saraiva, CEO of Brado.
“It is interesting to note that both flows grew, with agrochemicals, consumer goods and animal nutrition leaving São Paulo heading to Mato Grosso and special corn taking the opposite route.”
In the foreign market, cargoes of paper and cellulose leaving Ortigueira (PR) destined for the Port of Paranaguá (PR) boosted the result, adding an average of 1,3 containers per month to the Company's movement. The operation began in September 2021 and has already reached, before the end of the year, the potential projected for 2022.
There was also a significant increase in cotton exports. The plume flow from Rondonópolis (MT) to the Port of Santos (SP) increased by more than 60% compared to 2021.
In terms of imports, the highlight was agricultural pesticides, with an increase of 65% compared to last year. The product also registered an increase in the domestic market, growing 32% in relation to the total previously recorded.
