Cristiano Del Nero is the new CEO of Valmont Brasil for Irrigation

As 2022 begins, the Irrigation division of Valmont, a leading company in the irrigation sector, announces strategic changes to its structure. Mechanical engineer Cristiano Del Nero took on the role of CEO of Valmont Brasil for Irrigation, while other developments are taking place at the company's headquarters in Latin America and the Caribbean.

Cristiano Del Nero has a degree in Mechanical Engineering from Universidade Presbiteriana Mackenzie and specialized in Administration from Unicamp, in addition to having an MBA in Finance from Insper and extensive experience in the irrigation, industry and water management services sectors. As he takes the lead at Valmont's Brazilian unit, Cristiano reveals his goals for next year.

"The year 2021 was extremely interesting for the agribusiness sector as a whole and, therefore, we are investing heavily in increasing production, in order to meet the growing demand of the American market. Our main goal for 2022 is the consolidation of these investments; in addition, we will also have important launches in the area of ​​technology and services", details the director.

Cristiano assumes the presidency of Valmont at a landmark moment for Valmont and the national irrigated agriculture sector. More and more Brazilian producers are investing in irrigation to enhance productivity gains – and, thanks to the growing development of new technologies, the sector enters 2022 with a strategy focused on sustainability.

"Our irrigation management platform is also the most advanced in terms of sustainability. One of the realities we are bringing is the monitoring of pests and weeds, our Valley InSights system accurately shows the places where treatment is needed, thus saving energy and defensive", comments Cristiano.

The arrival of the new CEO was accompanied by other news at Valmont. Renato Silva, who had held the position since 2017, assumed the role of Global After-Sales Vice-Presidency. During his presidency, Valmont saw the expansion of its dealer network throughout Brazil and received important investments in the company's plant, located in Uberaba (MG).

Furthermore, João Rebequi, who was vice-president of Irrigation for Latin America and the Caribbean at Valmont for five years, now holds the position of Global Solar vice-president for Agriculture at Valmont, continuing the company's solar energy projects. company.

Finally, the position left by Rebequi was taken over by Felipe Vieira, who brings to the company more than 15 years of experience in industries in segments such as construction, forestry and agriculture.
