Founded on September 14, 1983 by 24 Coopercitrus members, Credicitrus has steadily followed its path over these 40 years to become the largest credit cooperative in Brazil. And the current numbers are representative: more than R$13 billion in assets: more than 167 thousand members; more than R$9 billion invested in financing for cooperative members; 120 service points spread across São Paulo, Minas Gerais and Mato Grosso do Sul.

Almost half of the amount invested in financing for cooperative members directly serves agribusiness, with a strong presence in the sugar-energy sector (sugar cane), livestock, citrus, coffee and grain production, the latter being the one that has grown the most in recent years due to areas of sugarcane crop rotation and occupation of degraded pasture areas.

To Walmir Segatto (in the photo), CEO of Credicitrus, the institution has transformed the lives of its members and the communities where it operates, by promoting income generation and social development. “Our purpose is to be the support base to support the growth and development of our members”, highlighted Segatto.

And to celebrate these 40 years of success, Credicitrus held from the 14th to the 16th of September, at Feccib Nova in Bebedouro, a major event focused on business, entertainment, education and culture. More than 60 cooperative companies in the region were able to exhibit their products and conduct business. Children were able to have fun with games, an amusement park, activity schools, children's theater, among other activities.

The Feccib Nova space, where the Bebedouro Orange Festival took place decades ago, was completely revitalized by Credicitrus. A new arena for shows was built on site and welcomed: Alexandre Pires, Gusttavo Lima and the country duo Fernando and Sorocaba.

Credicitrus has impacted almost 60 thousand people through four fronts: educational, social, cultural and environmental, investing more than 11 million in its projects.
