Soil moisture harms summer grain harvest in Rio Grande do Sul
In harvest areas, in addition to losses due to germinated and moldy grains and natural threshing, costs have been high
The Brazilian agricultural sector has just gained innovation in access to credit. The E-agro platform registered the first Rural Product Certificate (CPR) operations with machinery guarantee, a new development that could revolutionize the way rural producers finance their activities. The initial volume of these operations reached almost R$30 million.
Massey Ferguson was the first to benefit from this new payment method. In partnership with E-agro, the brand contributed to the first issuance of CPRs with guarantees for machines and equipment. Roberto França, agribusiness director at Bradesco, highlighted the relevance of this initiative: “The CPR with machinery and equipment guarantee is one of E-agro's most important initiatives, and has the guarantee and full support from Bradesco. We are happy to have partners, who, like Massey Ferguson, believe in the strength of the E-agro brand and marketplace.”
The E-agro platform's mission is to democratize access to credit for rural producers, allowing them to finance the needs of their properties in a simple and modern way. Nadege Saad, head of E-agro, highlighted the importance of this innovation for the agricultural market: “And this is in line with the strategy of our partners, who are committed to the effectiveness of the platform, as is the case with Massey Ferguson”.
“Reaching the milestone of almost R$30 million shows the potential of this innovation and how much companies and producers believe in the digitalization of agribusiness”, celebrates Nadege.
The E-agro marketplace offers a complete portfolio of machines and equipment from AGCO group brands, including Massey Ferguson, Valtra and Fendt. Rodrigo Junqueira, general manager AGCO & vice-president Massey Ferguson South America, reinforced the commitment to these tools: “We invested in these tools like E-agro because we believe it will make life easier for producers, reduce bureaucracy and speed up the process of purchasing machinery” .
One of the great differences of the credit operations offered by E-agro is the total digitalization of the process. According to Nadege Saad, this approach makes access to credit more democratic and efficient, eliminating the need to travel to bank branches or notary offices and being exempt from IOF (Financial Operations Tax).
