The São Paulo State Sugarcane Planters Cooperative (COPLACANA) is holding, between July 25th and August 6th, another edition of the COPLACANA Agro Counter. After two years of being held virtually, the event returns to an in-person format in all of the cooperative's stores spread across the states of São Paulo, Goiás, Minas Gerais, Mato Grosso do Sul and Paraná.
During the COPLACANA Agro Counter, rural producers will have access to products from several companies with different commercial conditions with the main suppliers of agricultural inputs and services. There are special rates and good financing options to help producers looking to increase their productivity and reduce costs.
“These will be unbeatable conditions for our cooperative member to do business, with a complete portfolio of services and products”, says Roberto Rossi, business director at COPLACANA.
According to Arnaldo Bortoletto, president of COPLACANA, the Agro Counter is mainly important for small farmers, who concentrate their purchases, while large producers have better conditions to consume throughout the year.
“By centralizing your purchase over a period, Balcão do Agro gives small farmers the opportunity to have a better price and a range of product offerings according to their needs. Therefore, we hold three business counters annually, one at the beginning of the year, one in the middle and one towards the end of the harvest, to cover the member's purchasing period, and the companies, knowing this, concentrate their best prices, their highest discounts at these times”, explains Bortoletto.
Rossi also remembers that on July 28th, Farmer's Day, there will be a series of debates about the sector. “We will hold an afternoon and evening of technical and market discussion, with the participation of renowned consultant Marcos Iamamoto and Consultoria YEB at the COPLACAMPO venue”.
In 2020, the event's revenue was R$200 million and in 2021 it had positive growth and surpassed the previous year with R$225 million in sales. The estimate for this year is to generate even more business between Head Office, 33 branches of the cooperative and the four COPLACANA Massey Ferguson stores.
