Cotton reaches 77,28% of the area planned for planting in Goiás

In Region 1, planting remains at 78,13% for three weeks. The region is made up of the municipalities of Goiatuba, Morrinhos, Palmeiras de Goiás and Turvelândia. The number represents 9,40% of the total area to be planted in Goiás.

In Region 2, formed by the municipalities of Caiapônia, Chapadão do Céu, Mineiros, Jataí, Montividiu, Rio Verde, Paraúna and Perolândia, planting jumped from 69,27% ​​on the 14th to 76,06% on the 21st. represents 40,51% of the total in the state.

Finally, Region 3 made little progress in planting and its planted area increased from 78,65% to 78,87% of its planted area, reaching 27,37% at the state level. The region encompasses the municipalities of Cristalina and Luziânia.

The survey is carried out by the Cotton Culture Incentive Fund in Goiás (Fialgo), which coordinates the Boll Weevil Control Project and monitors planting on cotton farms throughout the state.
