Cotton harvest reaches 67,78% in the 2022-2023 harvest

The cotton harvest in Goiás reached 67,78%. The data was compiled on August 11th. The survey is carried out by the Cotton Culture Incentive Fund in Goiás (Fialgo), responsible for monitoring the entire harvest period on cotton-producing farms in the state.

Region 1, made up of the municipalities of Goiatuba, Morrinhos, Palmeiras de Goiás, Itumbiara, Santa Helena and Turvelândia, increased to 91,69% between the 4th and 11th of August. The percentage that the region represents of the total area harvested in Goiás is 10,27%.

Region 2, which brings together the municipalities of Caiapônia, Chapadão do Céu, Jataí, Montividiu, Mineiros, Rio Verde and Perolândia, saw its harvested area increase by 77,91%. This value corresponds to 36,31% of the total area of ​​Goiás and maintained an accelerated pace of harvesting in the region.

Region 3, which covers the municipalities of Cabeceiras, Cristalina and Luziânia, reached 69,93%. The current record corresponds to 20,79% of the total at the state level.

In turn, Region 4, formed only by the municipalities of Jussara and Britânia, began harvesting after the other regions and reached 3,32% of its area. However, this percentage represents 0,41% of the entire planted area in Goiás.
