Wheat cultivation benefits agricultural production systems in Central Brazil
With improved management, producers have been able to explore the potential of cultivars, obtaining average yields above 100 sc/ha
A crop with good productivity starts with a quality seed. To provide rural producers with greater assertiveness in the field, Cotrijal is always seeking excellence in its products and services.
Proving this quality reflected in the work of Cotrijal's Seed Processing Unit, Syngenta's Seed Care Institute awarded the cooperative with the certificate of Excellence in Seed Treatment for the third consecutive year. The seal was delivered on Friday, 27/9, at the Hotel Itá Thermas Resort and Spa, in Itá (SC), during a technical department convention.
Cotrijal's Seed Production Manager, Claudia Moi Soares Rother, recalled that Industrial Seed Treatment is a highly professional operation, which demands specific products, machines and equipment with dosing and application technology, trained professionals and quality seed, in addition to of environmental safety factors.
“The seal of excellence ensures that all these requirements were met and that the dose of the product reached the target in 100% of the lots analyzed, ensuring that the producer has the security he needs for the best establishment, for satisfactory performance in the field, generating highly productive plants”, he emphasized.
Present during the certification delivery event were Cotrijal's management – president Nei César Manica and vice Enio Schroeder –, Cotrijal's Agricultural Production superintendent, Gelson Melo de Lima, other Cotrijal superintendents, managers and employees, as well as representatives from Syngenta.
The achievement places Cotrijal among the few companies in Brazil to receive certification, as only 20 received the seal. With the certificate, Syngenta's Seed Care Institute seeks to differentiate partners that have developed strong engagement and dedication in relation to quality and safety in seed treatment and level of service.
Among the precepts achieved by Cotrijal are: required dose adjustment levels in all samples that were sent for analysis at Syngenta's Seed Care Institute, in Holambra; compliance with safety requirements for working with pesticides; adequately preventive maintenance on your treatment equipment; proof that all the treated seed had the germination levels required by law.
