Committed to promoting more sustainable agricultural practices, Cotribá reinforces its attention to the segment of biological inputs for agriculture. The cooperative is launching the Bio Soluções line to sell products based on organic materials and renewable sources, such as organic fertilizers, microorganisms and plant hormones, alternatives to conventional chemical inputs. The portfolio offers options for pest and disease control, mainly in soybean, wheat, corn, barley, oat and canola crops, at any time of planting.

Bioinputs aim to improve the quality and results of crops without harming the environment. Among the main benefits are increased production, reduced environmental impact and improved soil quality. The biological agricultural inputs segment is growing and sales increased by 67% in Brazil in the 2021/22 harvest compared to the previous cycle, totaling R$2,9 billion. The data comes from a study released by the consultancy Kynetec, a specialist in global market research in animal health and agriculture.

With the launch of Bio Soluções, the cooperative's input area further values sustainable agriculture by offering a specific portfolio to members. It now acts as a distributor for major brands that supply these products, such as De Sangosse, Simbiose, UPL, Dimicron, ICL, Yara, Timac Agro and Biotrop. The commercialization of these solutions for any period of the agricultural cycle takes place in the cooperative's area of action in the state of Rio Grande do Sul. In these locations, agricultural technicians also guide producers on appropriate use. “We are confident that this new segment of Bio Soluções will be a great contribution to the sustainable development of the regions in which we are present”, says the president of Cotribá, Celso Leomar Krug.
