Corteva brings its first seed treatment solution for the crop to the Official Opening of the Rice Harvest

Corteva Agriscience is present at the 33rd Official Opening of the Rice and Grain Harvest in Terras Baixas, held from February 14th to 16th, at the Terras Baixas Station of Embrapa Clima Temperado, in Capão do Leão (RS). At the event, the company presents its complete portfolio in crop protection and seed treatment for rice farmers and other crops, in addition to the news of its Pioneer and Brevant Sementes seed brands, which feature the Enlist System.

At the event, the Corteva Rice Line highlights the extension of the Dermacor leaflet for the crop in seed treatment. For rice farming, the solution offers residual control, provides excellent maintenance of the plant stand, in addition to maximizing production potential.

The rice farmer has faced a great challenge: the resistance of the rootworm (Oryzophagus oryzae) to the modes of action already used for many years in different regions of Brazil. Therefore, Dermacor comes with a new active ingredient and has a great difference in management to avoid resistance to this pest, which can reduce productivity by up to 20%. Because it has translaminar action, being absorbed by the roots and taken to the leaves, the solution protects not only the seed, but the beginning of the crop, offering greater quality and greater control to the farmer.

Corteva continues with its commitment to believe in rice and brings to visitors areas planted and managed with its complete portfolio so that visitors can see in practice the action of the Bim Max fungicide, which offers technology and practicality in combating rice blast and other crop diseases, in addition to the herbicides Loyant - based on the exclusive active ingredient Rinskor Active - and Raster, also for weed control.

In the Crop Protection area, producers will be able to learn about Corteva's complete portfolio for soybeans, corn and other crops, which relies on years of research to develop solutions. Fungicides, herbicides and insecticides focus on helping farmers' daily lives and maximizing productivity.

Biotechnology and seeds

Another Corteva highlight for the event is the Enlist System, which is already in its second harvest and brings evolution and a new option for farmers to choose from for soybeans. For soybean growers, the brand offers the B5595CE and B5560CE cultivars with Conkesta E3 biotechnology, which helps control the main caterpillars that attack the crop and allows flexibility in weed management.

In corn, the brand highlights the hybrid launch B2315, the brand's first hyper-early hybrid for the South region, in addition to the recognized ones: B2401PWU, B2782PWU and B2620PWU. Regarding the corn portfolio, the big news are the hyper-early hybrid P1972VYHR, a special launch to celebrate the brand's 50th anniversary, and the pioneers: P3016VYHR, P3565PWU and P1225VYHR.
