Corteva Agriscience brings to the 32nd Official Opening of the Rice and Grain Harvest in Lowlands, held in Capão do Leão (RS), from February 16th to 18th, its various innovative solutions, within the robust technological portfolio to increase productivity and protect rice farmers' crops. The event’s theme is “Food Production in the Post-Pandemic. New Levels, New Challenges”, and aims to bring together producers, experts and companies to develop the rice farming sector and showcase the latest scientific and technological advances in rice cultivation.

In the company's space, which reinforces its commitment to believing in rice, visitors will be able to discover the fungicide Bim Max, a launch that offers technology and practicality in combating rice blast and other crop diseases. Composed of the innovative combination of two active ingredients (Tricyclazole and Tebuconazole), the fungicide works with a systemic mode of action and has a broad spectrum of disease control in both leaves and grains.

Other highlights that Corteva brings to the event are the Loyant herbicides - based on the exclusive active ingredient Rinskor Active, which offers a broad spectrum of post-emergence control of the main weeds - and Raster, a launch that presents a broad spectrum of pre- and post-emergence of grasses, sedges and broad leaves in rice cultivation.

In addition to learning about Corteva's robust Rice Line portfolio, farmers will be able to participate in actions that show how the solutions contribute to greater crop productivity. In the “How many kilos are there?” initiative, visitors will have to guess how much rice is in a pot. The dynamic is a practical example of the results obtained with the application of the company's innovations. To reinforce the “Believe in Rice” campaign, there will be a panel at the stand for the public to take photos and share on social media.

Corteva's Good Agricultural Practices area, a partner of Linha de Arroz, will also be present at the event with the “Expedição da Agricultura para a Vida” project, an itinerant truck that trains agribusiness professionals throughout Brazil, through interactive platforms and innovative way to promote even more knowledge about productive, responsible and sustainable agriculture.

“For the Opening of the Rice Harvest, Corteva has the commitment and partnership with the farmer to bring a robust portfolio, developed with a lot of research and investment, in addition to training with Good Agricultural Practices training. The company's focus is to show that culture is important and essential for the countryside and the population, which is why we believe in rice”, says Cristiane Delic, leader of Corteva's Rice Portfolio.

The 32nd edition of the Official Opening of the Rice and Grains Harvest in Terras Baixas takes place at the Terras Baixas Station, of Embrapa Clima Temperado, in Capão do Leão (RS). The organization is part of the Federation of Rice Growers Associations of Rio Grande do Sul (Federarroz) co-organized by Embrapa and supported by the Rio Grandense Rice Institute (Irga) and the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Supply.
