Corteva Agriscience, through Linha Hortifruti, participates in the National Meeting on Temperate Climate Fruit Growing (Enfrute), one of the most important events in Brazilian fruit growing and which will be held in conjunction with the XXVII Brazilian Fruit Growing Congress from April 25th to 29th, in Florianópolis (SC). At Enfrute, Corteva will be present with a stand to present the main news and innovations developed to maximize crop productivity and profitability in all seasons of the year.

The event highlights the role of Brazilian science in an increasingly competitive fruit industry. Among the solutions that will be presented by Corteva's Hortifrúti Line, the highlight is the insecticide Delegate, recognized as one of the most innovative and sustainable technologies in the world, having won the green chemistry award, endorsed by the United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) .

Recognized as an important ally in the protection of fruit and vegetable crops, Delegate offers versatility and ease to the farmer's daily life, as it combats some of the main pests of apple crops and offers protection to more than 70 crops, including fruits, vegetables and legumes, in addition to acting against 75 different insects. Composed of the Jemvelva Active molecule, Delegate belongs to the Spinosyns chemical group and has high shock power, broad control spectrum, prolonged residual effect, selectivity and shorter safety period.

Knowledge for horticulturists

Corteva's Hortifrúti Line also brings learning to Enfrute. On 29/4 (Friday), at 11:30 am (Business Arena), the company will promote the lecture “Benefit of Espinetoram in apple tree management”, with the doctor in Genetics and Plant Improvement, Silvia Paula de Oliveira.

In the presentation, Silvia, who works in agronomy with an emphasis on plant improvement - mainly in technology and seed production, hybridizations, plant tissue culture, molecular and propagation - will address how Espinetoram, a molecule present in Delegate and which belongs to an exclusive chemical group from Corteva Agriscience, benefits apple crop management, contributing to asset rotation and resistance management.
