Corteva Agriscience has just opened registration for the second edition of its 2022 Internship Program to hire new talents. Focused 100% on the diversity of women, black people, LGBTQI+ and people with disabilities, the program offers 53 vacancies to work in the states of São Paulo, Goiás, Mato Grosso do Sul, Mato Grosso, Minas Gerais, Paraná and Rio Grande do Sul .

“The intentionality and commitment to searching for diverse talents is already a hallmark of the Corteva Internship Program. We were the first company in the sector to take this step - having a program 100% focused on diversity -; This makes us proud and encourages us, as the objective goes beyond the internship. We seek to employ as many of these young people as possible”, highlights Claudia Pohlmann, Director of Human Resources at Corteva Agriscience in Latin America.

And in this edition, Corteva's Development Program to support interns is more robust and with structured modules to help you start your career and prepare for future professional vacancy opportunities.

Registration can be made until May 31st on the Internship Company, Corteva's partner company in this process.

In the last three editions, a total of 202 vacancies were offered and all were filled by representatives of diversity groups. To ensure diversity in hiring, the company defined goals and acted intentionally, promoting various affirmative and awareness actions, in addition to training aimed at leaders.

The selection process is 100% online and includes several courses, such as agronomy, veterinary, zootechnics, biology, chemical, forestry, production and food engineering, marketing, communication, administration, human resources, economics, accounting and computer sciences, analysis systems, among others.

The Program has two fronts, the first aimed at students in agronomy and related areas, with a minimum period of six months of internship and the possibility of renewal. Interns on this front will be able to work in areas such as Crop or Seed Protection Research & Development, Production Operations, Laboratory, among others. The internship workload is 8 hours/day, 40 hours per week.

The second front offers vacancies in corporate areas, such as marketing, communication, finance, supply chain, regulation, among others. Students from a wide range of undergraduate courses can apply and the internship lasts up to two years. In this modality, the workload is 6h/day, 30 hours per week.

Development Program

The benefits offered by the company directly reflect support for student development. The monthly allowance for interns with a workload of 6 hours per day is R$2.200,00 and for those with a workload of 8 hours per day it is R$2.920,00. Contractors also have medical and dental assistance, pharmacy subsidy, transportation assistance, meal assistance, internet assistance, life insurance, gympass and a psychological, legal and financial support program.

In addition, Corteva also offers a robust technical and behavioral skills development program divided into three fundamental pillars: experiences, exposures and training. “We understand the importance of building your professional profile during this period of starting your career. That is why we are committed to this training through the combination of diverse experiences in the corporate world”, highlights Cláudia.

Among the development experiences, interns will have the opportunity to lead a project with the aim of improving the strategic vision of leadership and project management; and participate in the “Development Academy”, a playful, fun and participatory learning experience, considering Corteva’s organizational culture and behavioral skills.

Also as part of the Program, the company supports students to improve their English communication skills, not only with training, but also by creating opportunities for exposure to the language, and offers virtual training platforms, such as LinkedIn Learning.

The program provides for the delivery of formal feedback conducted by the intern's manager and main mentors. The student is invited to be an ambassador and protagonist of Corteva's culture and actively participate in actions related to the practice of Inclusion, Diversity and Equity and as a supporter of the volunteering commitment.
