Corteva Agriscience innovates in the agricultural sector

Corteva Agriscience, DowDuPont's Agricultural Division, will transform the global agricultural market through constant investment in digital technology, high-performance genetics, permanent contact with producers and the most complete portfolio in the sector. It is with these differences that the future company, the result of the merger between Dow and DuPont, presents itself at the Global Agribusiness Forum 2018, one of the largest agribusiness discussion events in the world, of which the company is one of the sponsors.

Corteva Agriscience will combine the two companies' decades of experience with constant innovation and make bold moves to shape consumers' perceptions around the world about agriculture and its vital importance to humanity. “We want to emerge as the trusted food and agriculture leader in our category,” says Roberto Hun, president of Corteva Agriscience in Brazil and Paraguay.

Brazil will greatly benefit from this strength of portfolios and knowledge. The country is among the most strategic regions for Corteva globally. “We are currently number two in sales behind the United States,” Hun said. Last year, Latin America accounted for around 20% of the Agricultural Division's global sales.

For GAF 2018, Corteva Agriscience brought to Brazil the global vice president of the Crop Protection Platform Rajan Gajaria, responsible for shaping the business strategy, defining investment priorities in capital, R&D and overseeing the supply chain . “The integrated portfolios have already allowed us to reduce the development time for new solutions and increase the genetic gains of our products by approximately twice our historical rate”, says Gajaria.

Also at GAF 2018 is Corteva Agriscience's chief communications officer (CCO), Dana Bolden. “We will combine our decades of experience with constant inventiveness so we can help individuals, society and economies thrive,” says Bolden.

DowDuPont's Agricultural Division announced, on February 26, 2018, the name of the intended company after the completion of the separation into three independent companies, which should occur by June 1, 2019. The name Corteva Agriscience (kohr-' teh-vah) is derived from a combination of words that unites "heart" and "nature".

The current division and future agricultural company aims to work with producers and consumers, contributing to the progress of the next generations. “We will fight for the success of our customers and consumer needs, creating value through our operational excellence, establishing partnerships with society and seeking external references to always innovate”, comments Rajan.
