Corteva Agriscience highlights new fungicide technology during the 27th Hortitec

The Corteva Agriscience, through the Hortifrúti Line, participates in Hortitec - Exhibition Horticulture Technique, Protected Cultivation and Intensive Crops, from the 22nd to the 24th of June, at the Expoflora Exhibition Park, in Holambra (SP). In the 27th edition of fair, considered the most important in the horticulture segment in America Latina, Corteva will showcase the main news and innovations developed to maximize crop productivity and profitability in all seasons of the year. The main highlight for Hortitec 2022 is the recent launch, the new generation of fungicides from Corteva Agriscience, Generation Z, which has an exclusive and innovative molecule, Zorvec Technology.

The Line Corteva's Hortifrúti is made up of a portfolio of insecticides, fungicides and herbicides to assist producers in the challenges of various crops from planting to harvest. The new fungicide Zorvec Entido focuses on potato cultivation and targets late blight, the main crop disease, which strongly impacts productivity at harvest, with losses of up to 100%.

Zorvec Encantia focuses on tomato cultivation and is versatile for 17 other crops. fruit and vegetables, such as melons, watermelons and hardwoods. It is indicated for controlling the late blight, a highly aggressive disease in tomato crops and capable of damaging entire crops in a few days. Just like downy mildew disease in several crops, which causes premature fall of leaves, destruction of flowers and fruits, resulting in major economic losses.   

Fungicides with Zorvec Technology are being very well evaluated in the market, raising the level of control of diseases of the horticultural universe and promoting better yields and crops more productive in all seasons of the year. It took more than 10 years of research to develop an innovative molecule that presents an incomparable combination consistency and control. The new products have two assets experts, came to change everything in terms of effectiveness, protection and productivity and will be great allies of the producer in all phases of crops and in challenging climatic conditions.

Simultaneously with the fair, the company holds a company, in Mogi Mirim, close to Hortitec, the Agronomy Day. The action provides a true immersion in the company's trajectory, which has a tradition in protecting crops for fruit and vegetables in a revolutionary way.

In this edition of the event, the focus will be on the new fungicides Zorvec Entido and Zorvec Encantia, in addition to Acapela, with Onmira active, which offers superior protection against black spot on potatoes. Delegate insecticides, recognized as one of the most innovative and sustainable technologies in the world, having won the award of green chemistry, approved by the Environmental Protection Agency of the United States Unidos (EPA), and the Verter SC with high shock and residual power against pests will also be addressed by the team of researchers and agronomists from Corteva.

Another highlight of the edition is the exchange of knowledge between farmers and experts, as producers take advantage of the moment to take and discuss the problems they face in farming. Therefore, the best techniques and solutions and guidelines addressed on the correct use, weed management, integrated management of pests, disease management, application technology and crop safety worker, within Corteva's Good Agricultural Practices program.
