Corteva Agriscience is present at the X Sintag – International Application Technology Symposium –, which will be held from March 23 to 25, in Porto Alegre (RS). The company participates in the event with a stand, lecture and holding the 6th Corteva Application Technology Award, which seeks to encourage actions that improve scientific research in work on the application of agricultural pesticides, recognizing the best projects from students and professionals from all over Brazil.
Promoted by the Federal University of Santa Maria (UFSM) and the Agricultural and Forestry Studies and Research Foundation (FEPAF) of FCA/Unesp, Sintag's theme for this edition is “Application Technology in Sustainable Protection of Plants” and aims to promote dialogue on how application technology can assist in the efficient application of agricultural pesticides in a sustainable and responsible way.
On March 24, Jair Maggioni, Coordinator of Good Agricultural Practices at Corteva, will highlight the actions of Good Practice and Application Technology that the company has been carrying out in the state of Rio Grande do Sul through a lecture scheduled for 9 am . At Corteva's stand there will be activations of projects in the area of Good Agricultural Practices, such as the model representation of the “Agriculture for Life Expedition”, as well as other news and interactions.
The “Expedição da Agricultura para a Vida” is a program with a traveling truck that trains agribusiness professionals throughout Brazil, through interactive platforms and in an innovative way, to promote more knowledge about productive, responsible and sustainable agriculture.
“Corteva’s actions at the event reinforce that Good Agricultural Practices contribute to both the productivity and sustainability of agribusiness. Participating in Sintag is an opportunity to debate the evolution of innovations in the area of application technology”, says Maggioni. Throughout the event, company experts will be available at the stand to answer participants' most frequently asked questions.
Recognition in Application Technology
Still on the 24th, Corteva will announce the winners of the 6th Corteva Application Technology Award which, this year, had 80 works registered and related to the technology for applying phytosanitary products.
According to the award criteria, research is evaluated by a judging committee made up of representatives from technical, scientific and academic areas related to the topic of application technology, taking into account three main aspects: applicability, technological innovation and detail. The three best evaluated works will be awarded.
