Corteva has been reinforcing its commitment to providing farmers with sustainable tools that complement evolving agricultural practices with proven effectiveness. At the beginning of March, the company announced that it had completed the global acquisitions of Symborg, a company specialized in microbiological technologies (headquartered in Murcia, Spain), and Stoller, one of the largest independent companies in the world in the Biological sector (headquartered in Houston, United States). United).
Furthermore, Corteva already has in its current portfolio solutions for nutrition and biological control for crops such as sugar cane, soybeans, corn and other specialties. The entire portfolio will be presented at the event. Among the company's solutions are the phosphorus solubilization products Omsugo Eco (for sugar cane) and Omsugo P (for soybeans), the microbiological nematicides Inlayon Eco (sugarcane) and Inlayon (soybeans and cotton) and the microbiological insecticide Tezpetix Beauve.
Omsugo Eco and Omsugo P are composed of two distinct strains, exclusively selected and developed by Embrapa researchers over the last 18 years. They increase the availability of phosphorus that is retained in the soil and organic matter and maximize the nutritional efficiency of plants through better use of phosphate fertilizer, contributing to gains in productivity and longevity of the crop and optimizing past and future investments in the field.
For the sustainability and protection of the crop, the farmer can also count on Inlayon Eco and Inlayon, microbiological nematicides that help maximize the productive potential of plants and protect the roots, contributing to a healthier and more productive crop. With an exclusive strain, discovered in Brazilian soil, it is originally effective in controlling the main nematodes, providing better plant establishment.
Tezpetix Beauve arrives as a complementary tool to chemical control, for the management of Dalbulus maidis, known as corn leafhopper, one of the main problems faced by producers of this crop. The solution, aligned with integrated pest management programs (IPM), helps to avoid damage due to stunting and protect the productive potential of the crop. The biological solution, in a combined offer, brings excellent deliveries in the field.
Corteva continues to invest in the Seed Treatment area and brings its first biological nematicide for this segment, Lumialza, to the event. The innovation for soy and corn contains the bacteria Bacillus amyloliquefaciens (strain PTA-4838), a natural organism that colonizes the root region to create a biological barrier against a range of harmful nematodes, without interrupting the activities of organisms beneficial to the soil, offering efficient protection right at the beginning of crop establishment, and can extend for more than 80 days.
Another highlight in this area is the insecticide Dermacor, which focuses on soybean, corn, cotton, sorghum crops, and recently had its registration expanded to rice and beans. Anchor of the portfolio, Dermacor offers control of the main soil and early foliar pests, such as Elasmo and Spodoptera frugiperda, providing the producer with excellent stand maintenance and rapid crop establishment, maximizing the productive potential of the treated seed.
Aiming to strengthen the strategy for TSI, Corteva launches globally, in Pioneer and Brevant Sementes seeds, the LumiGEN brand, which encompasses products, technologies and services aimed at industrial seed treatment in corn, soybean and sorghum crops. These are solutions that meet the diverse needs of producers, such as fungicides, insecticides, bionematicides and biostimulants. In addition to the service pillar, where all recipe testing processes are carried out within Corteva's CSAT (Seed Treatment Technology Center).
In the area of Crop Protection, producers will be able to discover Corteva's complete portfolio, which relies on years of research to develop solutions. Fungicides, herbicides and insecticides focus on helping farmers' daily lives and maximizing productivity. Among the solutions:
