Corteva Agriscience Announces 2018 Environmental Respect Awards Winners

Corteva Agriscience, DowDuPont's Agricultural Division, will honor and reward resellers and cooperatives that promote good practices in their operations, through the Environmental Respect Awards, the most important recognition program in the agricultural industry. This year's winners, announced today, are Agro Amazônia, from Mato Grosso, in the distributors category, Castrolanda, from Paraná, in the cooperatives category and Coopavel, also from Paraná, in the exclusive seed channel category. The winners will participate in a special awards ceremony in the United States in October.

The objective of ERA is to recognize, publicize and encourage agribusiness companies and professionals that, in addition to benefiting their customers, also contribute to sustainable agricultural practices. To compete in the three categories: distributors, cooperatives and exclusive seed channel, participants had to answer a questionnaire that evaluated good agricultural practices and asked for evidence of these actions, such as storage and training in the use of PPE and social and community programs that are analyzed by an external judging panel.

The winning company was the one with the highest score in each of the categories and the prizes were a trip to the USA and a trophy. In addition, all participants will receive a report from Corteva Agriscience with guidance for improvements.
