Corteva Agriscience announced the winners of the World of Respect Award, which recognizes and honors resellers, distributors, cooperatives and other channels that promote care and projects in good agricultural practices, the environment, sustainability and the community. This is the only award of its kind in the sector and, annually, it receives many applications from those interested in participating. This year's winners are Frisia, from Paraná and Pantanal Agrícola, from Mato Grosso do Sul, who will compete, in October, for the Latin America award, in Washington, in the United States.
The objective of the award is to recognize, publicize and encourage companies and agribusiness professionals that, in addition to benefiting their customers, also contribute to sustainable agricultural practices. To compete for the award, participants had to answer a questionnaire that evaluated the initiatives developed by the partner and asked for evidence of these actions, which are analyzed by an external judging committee.
“This year we value even more the commitment to environmental issues, actions aimed at responsible use of products, employee education and work with the surrounding community. The World of Respect Award increases the awareness of our customers and partners and demonstrates Corteva's commitment to sustainability, aligned with the company's purpose, which is to improve the lives of those who produce and those who consume, ensuring progress for the next generations”, explains Igor Borges, Coordinator of Good Agricultural Practices and Sustainability, at Corteva Agriscience.
The two winning companies were the ones with the highest scores and the prizes were a trip to the USA and a trophy.
