International Agricultural Surveillance Service prevented 392 live pests from entering Brazil
This was the result of joint operations on the border of Foz do Iguaçu (PR) with Paraguay, presented last Friday (2/7)
Even with the advance of the second harvest in Brazil, corn prices rose again between the end of June and the beginning of July in most regions monitored by Cepea. This reaction comes after frosts were observed in some markets last week, which left producers on alert and away from the spot market.
Cepea researchers indicate that, given this, some buyers with strong needs were more flexible, and ended up paying the higher amounts requested by sellers. However, negotiations were punctual and involved small volumes.
On Friday, the 2nd, the ESALQ/BM&FBovespa Indicator (Campinas region – SP) closed at R$ 92,10/60 kg bag, a reaction of 6,75% compared to the previous Friday, June 25th.
