BASF launches Provisia and celebrates 20 years of Clearfield
It all happened during the Official Opening of the Rice harvest, in RS
The harvest of corn crops advances in Rio Grande do Sul and reaches, this week, 46% of the estimated total area, which is approximately 830 thousand hectares. According to Emater/RS, 16% of the crop is in the maturation phase, 17% in grain filling, 9% in flowering and 12% still in germination and vegetative development.
In the region of Caxias do Sul, where Vitor Gil's property in São Francisco de Paula is located, the very dry weather and high temperatures of the last week could worsen losses. There are crops in all stages of development, from vegetative to harvest, but the grain filling phase predominates.
The continued climate conditions of predominantly dry weather and high temperatures still harm soybeans. During the week, the crop reaches 32% of the area in the grain filling phase. Only 1% is already in the maturation phase, 45% in maturation and 22% in germination and vegetative development.
Rice cultivation has its first crops harvested (1%) and continues to develop in the State. Another 10% are in the maturation phase, 31% in grain filling, 38% in flowering and 20% in germination and vegetative development.
In the Pelotas region, in São Lourenço do Sul, Canguçu and Piratini, the 1st crop bean harvest was completed. Other municipalities are in the completion phase, such as Cerrito, where the harvested area reaches 97%. Across the region, the percentage harvested is 74% of crops. There are still 6% of areas mature and ready to be harvested; 7% of crops in the granation or grain filling phase; another 7% in flowering; and 6% of areas still in vegetative development.
