The São Paulo State Sugarcane Planters Cooperative (COPLACANA) is holding the 23rd edition of Copla Soja on the 24rd and 3th of January at Fazenda Rio Bonito in Arandu – a district located 16 km from Avaré, SP.
Open to members and customers, Copla Soja will have experimental spaces coordinated by COPLACANA partner suppliers to showcase products, innovations, solutions, science, techniques and the development of the entire process of growing soy, corn and other cereals.
COPLACANA agronomist, responsible for the Avaré region, Eduardo Augusto Pereira states that the event is essential for cereal producers in the region. “Copla Soja has significant importance in the region, as COPLACANA has been in Avaré for more than 10 years, not only in the sugarcane segment, but also in the cereals area. It is a very important event because it brings a lot of information, technologies, market news, soybean cultivars, pesticides, active ingredients and we take this information to the cooperative member.”
The National Supply Company (Conab) released data this month that points to a new record in the historical series, where the 2019/2020 grain harvest estimate shows a production of 248 million tons, an increase of 2,5% or 6,1. 2018 million tons compared to 2019/XNUMX.
Soybean cultivation, which has maintained the growth trend in the area, this season is also expected to increase production by 2,6% compared to the previous cycle, reaching 122,2 million tons.
