The São Paulo State Sugarcane Planters Cooperative (Coplacana) and the São Paulo State Government will hold on March 4th and 5th the 3rd edition of Copla Soja in Itapetininga - a city that belongs to the metropolitan region of Sorocaba.

Open to cooperative members and consumer customers in general, Copla Soja will have experimental spaces coordinated by partner suppliers to showcase products, innovations, solutions, science, techniques and the development of the entire soy cultivation process.

The manager of Coplacana in Itapetininga, Renato Boschiero believes that the event will contribute both to local and regional production, and to the possibilities that the cooperative offers to rural producers. “We hope to welcome an audience of approximately 400 people, who will be able to learn about excellent technological innovations that will be demonstrated by partner suppliers.”

The event will feature the participation of 26 companies that will have special environments to demonstrate technology and solutions for cereal cultivation. On this occasion, farmers who attend Copla Soja will find the latest in corn hybrids, more productive soybean varieties, more efficient fertilizers, more balanced nutrition, more modern equipment and precision agriculture solutions.

The National Supply Company (Conab) released data that points to a new record in the historical series, where the 2019/2020 grain harvest estimate shows a production of 248 million tons, an increase of 2,5% or 6,1 million tons compared to 2018/2019.

Soybean cultivation, which has maintained the growth trend in the area, this season is also expected to increase production by 2,6% compared to the previous cycle, reaching 122,2 million tons.

Copla Soja is a free event open to the public and there is no need to register in advance.
