Copercampos will have a new storage unit in Lages/SC

Copercampos will build another grain storage unit in the mountains of Santa Catarina. The new Lages/SC unit, located at the junction of BR 282 and SC 114 (access interchange to Palmeira/Otacílio Costa), will have the capacity to store 240 thousand bags/60kg of grains. 

Copercampos' investment in the unit is more than R$22 million and will serve grain producers across the region. The unit will have scales, an office, hoppers, tippers, two lung silos, two silos of 100 bags each, as well as a residence.  

This will be the second grain storage unit located in Lages. The cooperative has a unit in Coxilha Rica, in the interior of the municipality. According to Copercampos Operational Manager Nelson Cruz, licenses to begin work are being issued and in the next few days, earthworks should begin.  

“We will build another storage unit in Lages, aiming to serve producers from Lages, Palmeira and also Bocaina do Sul. The unit will be well located and will have easy access, close to the BR 282 interchange with SC 114, and will receive a large investment from cooperative. In addition to the storage unit, Copercampos will provide technical assistance to producers and all the technologies and solutions disseminated by the cooperative so that farmers in the region can obtain productivity and profitability in their activities”, highlights Nelson.
