Copercampos, a cooperative with more than 80 units in Santa Catarina (SC) and Rio Grande do Sul (RS), is including six more units in its structure that belonged to the Agricultural Cooperative of Santa Cruz do Pery – Copery. Headquartered in Curitibanos/SC, Copery was founded in 2015 and has units in three other municipalities in the region: Brunópolis, Cerro Negro and São José do Cerrito.

The incorporation of six own units (warehouses and stores) aims to further strengthen Copercampos' business, promoting essential cooperativism in the region, highlights Copercampos CEO Luiz Carlos Chiocca. “These are relatively new units and will enable us to expand our business, such as seeds, for example. Our objective is to enable our associates to have even better quality services and to deliver production with efficiency and quality. That's why we're expanding our area of activity, building units and also carrying out transactions like Copery's”, he highlights.

Purchase and incorporation of cooperatives

In the expansion project and attentive to existing opportunities in the sector, Copercampos acquired, at the end of 2023, land and incorporated the Abdon Batista Family Agricultural Production Cooperative – CooperAbdon and also purchased the storage unit belonging to Copercon, from Fraiburgo/SC .

At the beginning of 2024, Copery's structures will become Copercampos, reinforcing Copercampos' strength in the region.
