This Monday, July 17, Copercampos signed another contract with the Regional Development Bank of the Far South (BRDE) for the implementation of a grain receiving and processing unit, with an installed capacity of 16,7 tons. A traditional partner of the cooperative, BRDE will finance R$22,4 million for the project, resources operationalized with the Novo Banco de Desenvolvimento (NDB). The operation is the first carried out in Brazil by a development bank with the NDB.

“This is another important step that BRDE takes within its policy of diversifying funding sources implemented in recent years. The expansion of partnerships with international institutions allows participation in projects like the one we signed today with Copercampos. We don’t stop here, we want to increase the supply of credit, especially for projects aligned with the areas of innovation and sustainability”, highlights BRDE’s CEO, João Paulo Kleinübing.

The investment project in one of Copercampos' units allows for a capacity of 12,9 thousand tons in the two storage silos, plus 3,4 thousand tons in the warehouse, with capacity for storing grains, seeds and inputs, with a built area of 1.500 m². As an integral part of the unit, two lung silos with a capacity of 988 tons each and another 82-ton shipping silo will also be installed. “The partnership between BRDE and Copercampos strengthens our operations. All our investments have been supported by the bank's credit and technical support for over 50 years”, highlights the cooperative's CEO, Luiz Carlos Chiocca.

Copercampos has been a BRDE customer since the 70s and has already signed more than 100 credit agreements with the bank.
