São Paulo prepares to combat the wood wasp
New reports of the presence of the pest in the State raised the alert and meetings have already been held between entities and producer associations
With the theme “Cooperativism: Building the Sustainable Future of Generations”, Cooxupé will promote, in February and March of next year, in person, the traditional Feira do Cerrado and Femagri – Fair of Machines, Implements and Agricultural Inputs.
Unlike what happens annually, the Cerrado Fair will be held first. The event is scheduled for the 7th and 8th of February, at the center in Monte Carmelo/MG. The expectation is to bring together 79 stands of products and new technologies aimed at coffee growing and receive six thousand visitors during the two-day event.
Femagri, which takes place in Guaxupé, will be held from the 20th to the 22nd of March, bringing together cooperative families from the South of Minas and the middle Mogian region of the state of São Paulo, who are looking for technologies and solutions for their crops and properties.
“For 2024 it was necessary to change the dates and the Cerrado Fair will be before Femagri. We can now say that the commercial conditions will be released to all members”, reveals Cooxupé’s machinery supervisor, Douglas Ferreira.
The Cerrado Fair will have 50 thousand square meters, of which 11 thousand meters will be covered spaces. Members will be able to find solutions in technology, machines, implements and inputs for coffee and cereals. The meeting has free entry and parking, as is the case with Femagri.
“In addition to getting to know the machines up close, members will also have the opportunity to talk to experts from each company present at the event”, explains Ferreira.
At the 2024 Cerrado Fair, the cooperative will also set up a special structure for members to feel “at home” and do great business with its departments: Vectag, Insurance, SMC, Roasting, Nespresso and the Feed Factory.
“Both fairs promote a great gathering of coffee growing and will present great opportunities for good business”, highlights the Cooxupé machinery supervisor.
