A reference as the largest agro-industrial cooperative in the Northern Region, Coopernorte has been operating for a decade with excellent services for the development of the Brazilian agricultural sector. The institution operates in the agricultural hub of municipalities located in the northeast and southeast of Pará. Currently, Coopernorte has 93 members and a planted area of 116 thousand hectares, accounting for 31% of the agricultural production in this hub and 52% of the production in the municipality of Paragominas, where the company is located.

“Coopernorte’s growth is constant and noticeable in all its indicators. In recent years, the institution structured a new Administrative Center, expanded its own fleet of trucks, invested in expanding the operational capacity for receiving and storing grains, acquired new equipment and received 2 new bulk units that, together, leveraged the static capacity of storage, which currently stands at 2,3 million bags of grain”, points out Bazílio Carloto, CEO of Coopernorte.

The institution has expanded its operations in recent years. Among the services offered are: the supply of inputs, financing of crops, provision of agronomic technical assistance to producers, promotion of technologies and good agricultural practices, reception, standardization, storage, marketing and transportation of grains from cooperative members and customers.

“With an eye on the future, we will take important steps from 2023 onwards: the Grain Processing and Industrialization Project, when we will package and process corn, rice and beans and launch products on the retail market; in addition to the creation of our Agricultural Commercial Center, which aims to serve cooperative members and rural producers in general who are looking for materials, machines, tools and other products to use on a daily basis on their farms”, highlights Bazílio Carloto, CEO of Coopernorte .

One of Coopernorte's biggest brands is Show Agro, the largest agribusiness fair in the state of Pará and one of the main agribusiness fairs in the segment nationally. The most recent edition, held in May this year, had a record attendance, with more than 26.500 visitors and recorded more than R$962,9 million in deals that were signed during the event.
