Coopernorte continues to innovate and will begin the process of verticalizing its production, becoming an agribusiness. The cooperative will process, package and bale grains, producing goods that will have the Coopernorte brand and will be distributed to wholesale and retail chains throughout Brazil. The project is expected to begin operations in 2023.

“This is an incredible project that will promote agro-industrial development with innovation, sustainability, social commitment, in addition to boosting our economy. We will be a reference for quality products at a regional and national level” highlights Marcos Antônio Bombana, production manager at Coopernorte.

The project will begin with the industrialization of corn, making Coopernorte an agribusiness, obtaining the processing and industrialization of this seed. The corn will be transformed into products such as flakes, hominy, popcorn, cornmeal, broken corn and packaged whole corn using an automated, modern, safe and highly technological system.

“We seek the best in innovation and acquire high-standard equipment with German technology, which guarantees greater productivity, workplace safety and sustainability”, says Bombana.

Environmental responsibility

To ensure commitment to the environment, the project includes a particulate filtration plant, with an automatic pulsejet cleaning system, capable of maintaining a pleasant working environment, with an atmosphere free of particles.

Furthermore, aiming to consume energy from renewable sources, the project includes its own generation system through a photovoltaic solar plant, which will power all the machinery in Coopernorte's industrial park.
