Coopernorte brought together its members to carry out the distribution of surpluses for 2022. The surpluses are the results obtained by the cooperative, divided among the members themselves who contributed through the use of the cooperative's products and services throughout the year.
This year, R$ 18 million was distributed among cooperative members with payment in the share capital, that is, with investment in the cooperative, and more than R$ 1,1 million was distributed to cooperative members with payment into a current account. In total, more than R$19 million was shared among members. The amounts that each member receives are proportional to their movement within the cooperative (purchase of inputs, sales of grains and delivery of grains to the institution's silos, for example).
“This is the time to reap the fruits of a year of hard work and great achievements in the cooperative. We are very proud of an efficient operation carried out together with our members and of boosting the economy of our region. In 2023, we will carry out even greater and broader work”, highlights Bazílio Carloto, CEO of Coopernorte.
Coopernorte has been operating for 11 years with excellent services for the development of the Brazilian agricultural sector. The institution operates in the agricultural hub of municipalities located in the northeast and southeast of Pará. Currently, Coopernorte has 93 members and a planted area of 116 thousand hectares, accounting for 31% of the agricultural production in this hub and 52% of the production in the municipality of Paragominas, where the company is located.
In 2023, the cooperative will expand its operation with the inauguration of its first agroindustry, which will process, package and bale grains, producing goods that will have the Coopernorte brand to be distributed to wholesale and retail chains throughout Brazil.
