C.Vale announces growth of 7,62% in revenue and distribution of leftovers
Cooperative exceeds expectations and plans to expand its operations in 2024; in 2023, it received more than 50 million bags of soybeans and almost 46 million bags of corn
The 20th Cooperja Agrocelerator Field was held from February 1st to 3rd at the cooperative's demonstration field in Jacinto Machado, in Santa Catarina, bringing innovation to research and the exchange of experiences and knowledge between different segments of the agricultural sector. This event is considered one of the largest in agribusiness in the south of the state, where around six thousand farmers passed through.
More than 70 technological showcases were installed at the site, covering rice, soybeans, corn, floodplain soybeans, bananas, passion fruit, vegetables, dragon fruit, pastures, bioactive plants and livestock, in addition to exhibiting animals, machinery and equipment.
Epagri participated with demonstration units of technologies for the cultivation of irrigated rice, including the cultivars developed at the Itajaí Experimental Station and which are among the most cultivated in the State. The Company also demonstrated sustainable systems for growing corn and soybeans, as well as bringing technologies to the Direct Planting System for Vegetables, fruit growing and livestock farming.
The president of Epagri, Dirceu Leite, was at the event on Friday (2), together with the Secretary of State for Agriculture and Livestock, Valdir Colatto, who represented governor Jorginho Mello. “Cooperja is a fundamental player in the south of the state for the organization of producers and Epagri walks alongside this important cooperative. We are at this event with research, which has been developing new rice cultivars and allowing the farmer to have more favorable results with new technologies, and also with extension, responsible for taking all knowledge to the field, where agriculture takes place”, emphasizes Dirceu .
Also during the Agroaccelerator Field, the Cidasc Conformity Seal (SCC) was handed over to Cooperja. The SCC is a process certification that differentiates companies that process products of plant origin in the market. To earn the seal, Cooperja joined the program led by Cidasc and implemented a Food Safety Management System.
