Cooper+: soybean productivity champion in the North region reaches 100,7 bags per hectare

Ediane Balbinot, producer who won the title of champion of the challenge, competed in the "Region 2” category; the average for this edition of Cooper+ was 86,93 bags per hectare

The most recent edition of Cooper+, the largest soybean productivity program in the North region, revealed the winners of the 23/24 harvest. The highlight was producer Ediane Balbinot, who won the title of champion of the challenge by obtaining a productivity of 100,78 bags per hectare in Rondon do Pará (PA). Ediane competed in the "Region 2" category, which covers the cities of Dom Eliseu, Bom Jesus, Rondon Do Pará, Abel Figueiredo, in the state of Pará, and Açailândia, Buriticupu and Itinga do Maranhão, in the state of Maranhão.

“We had an excellent result despite the adversities of the weather and the market in this last harvest. All of this was possible with excellent technical consultancy that allowed the appropriate use of seeds, the integrated management of pests and diseases, the correct application of fertilizers and pesticides, in addition to soil monitoring, among other important aspects for soybean cultivation” , highlights rural producer Ediane Balbinot.

In the “Region 1” category, the champion of the challenge was producer Renan Urach, in Paragominas (PA), with 98,62 bags per hectare. The category comprises the cities of Paragominas, Ulianópolis, Ipixuna do Pará, Nova Esperança do Piriá, Tomé-Açu, Viseu, Quatro Bocas, Concórdia do Pará, Capanema, Thailand and Goianésia do Pará. 

“For this harvest, we had new investments in machinery and reinforced sustainable actions in cultivation. With this, it was possible to guarantee a great result and reaching first place in the region”, highlights rural producer Renan Urach. 

The average for this edition of Cooper+ was 86,93 bags per hectare. “The average productivity of participants has remained at excellent levels and we hope to continue encouraging local farmers and specialists to employ the most efficient planting techniques with a view to increasing the productivity, sustainability and profitability of soybean production in the region”, concludes Bazílio Carloto, director -president of Coopernorte.
