The year of its fiftieth anniversary, officially celebrated on December 15th, reached record numbers, demonstrating that the cooperative is experiencing one of its best moments. Revenue for the year was R$3,47 billion, 30% higher compared to 2019. The result was presented on the morning of Wednesday, 20th, at an Ordinary General Assembly surrounded by all the care and guidance from the regulatory bodies. health protection.

The work was led by president Dilvo Grolli, who attributed the 2020 numbers to a series of factors, but mainly to experience, innovation, planning, the serious and dedicated work of directors and employees and the valuable collaboration of the associated staff. . Even with the changes necessary to contain the coronavirus, investments totaled R$174,2 million, 54% higher than the previous year and the profit recorded in 2020 was R$145,1 million, 70% higher than that recorded in the year 2019.

Grain reception grew 30% in the comparison between 2020 and 2019, totaling 18,2 million bags. There was an expansion in the number of cooperative branches, going from 29 to 32 and the number of cooperative members on the last day of 2020 was 5.932, 9% higher compared to the end of the previous year, which was 5.446 – the current number of employees is 6,1 thousand. “These data are proof that the strategic planning outlined by the cooperative was achieved accurately and efficiently. That the option for the sustainability of the cooperative based on added value and that each business does not exceed 25% of total revenue is correct”, highlights Dilvo.

Industry

The advancement of Coopavel's industrial area in 2020 deserves special attention, according to the president, who highlights seed production. It is possible to understand the performance based on the numbers from the last three years: in 2018, it was 111,6 thousand bags, in 2019 it reached 106,5 thousand bags and in 2020 there was a jump to 413,5 thousand bags. The fertilizer industry produced 146,5 tons in 2020 against 135,6 in the previous year; soybean crushing was 280,6 tons compared to 272 in 2019 and wheat mill production jumped, in 2019, from 91,8 to 137,1 tons.

Coopavel's total grain reception in 2020 was 1.092,7 thousand tons, compared to 844,4 thousand in the previous year. Slaughter in the poultry slaughterhouse was practically the same as the previous year, at 49,7 million heads, and piglet production grew from 290,7 thousand to 303 thousand. The members approved Coopavel's revenue and costs for 2021. The revenue projection for the year is R$4 billion and costs of R$3,88 billion.

Main Targets

The cooperative's objectives and goals for 2021 were also submitted to the AGM. There are basically four fundamental points: improvements, expansions and new branches in the West and Southwest of Paraná; expansion of production in wheat and feed agribusinesses; expansion of slaughters at the pig slaughterhouse, sow farms and piglet and fertile egg production units. Dilvo Grolli also mentioned the intercooperation between Coopavel and Credicoopavel and the good results achieved with the partnership. The credit cooperative, which recently celebrated its 39th anniversary, has 6.984 members, net worth of R$92,8 million and assets of R$367,6 million.
