Coopavel promotes field day on wheat cultivation in the Southwest

Rural producers from Pato Branco and neighboring municipalities are invited to participate in the second edition of Wheat Field Day that Coopavel promotes in the Southwest region of Paraná. It will be held this Thursday, 21st, from 15pm in the region known as Reta Grande.

The central focus of the presentations will be wheat, with 18 different cultivars, some of which are new to the market. “The idea is to showcase new technologies and the adaptation of each of them in our region”, says agronomist Rodrigo Junior Schneider. The information will be passed on by technicians from partner companies.

The field day will also open space for chemical companies, which will showcase products and technological solutions for triticulture. In total, the event will feature the participation of three seed companies, six pesticide companies and one corrective company. The cooperative will also participate with Nutriagro, a foliar fertilizer industry, with Fertilizandos Coopavel and Sementes Coopavel.

To combat risks, several precautions will be taken at the event, according to Rodrigo. Producers will be divided into small groups to learn about the seasons, thus combating crowds. Everyone must wear masks during the visit and use alcohol gel, which will be distributed in the tents. “The field day will take place outdoors, in a large area, and with these precautions we will all be protected”, says the agronomist.

Afterwards, participants will be welcomed to dinner, which will also observe health rules. One of them is to recommend that participants bring plates and cutlery that they will use to make their meal. The partner companies on the field day are: Basf, OR Sementes, Embrapa, Seedcare, Biotrigo, Syngenta, FMC, UPL, Ihara, Corteva and Iapar, in addition to Nutriagro, Sementes Coopavel and Show Rural Coopavel.
