Coopavel highlights promising moment for agriculture in assembly

The world and Brazil are experiencing a particularly challenging time, as a result of the recession, high interest rates, health risks and climate instability in many countries. Even so, there are good opportunities that need to be seized by the agribusiness chain, commented the president of Coopavel, Dilvo Grolli (in the photo above), during the Ordinary General Assembly on the morning of this Wednesday, 22nd. The president of Ocepar, José Roberto Ricken, and the president of Copacol, Valter Pitol, among other leaders, attended the AGM.

To an audience of cooperative members and guests, Dilvo noted that it is important to pay close attention to the current management of the most diverse projects and investments. He pointed out that discernment in finding the best paths is a powerful and necessary ally and that the transition to the future requires the development of a very well-structured plan, encompassing governance, commitment, unity and professionalism. “We need to have the right people in the right places. There is no more room for amateurism.”

One of the commitments of the Board of Directors is to prepare Coopavel for an intense organizational structural change, all so that it can continue to grow and contribute to the strengthening of rural properties and the development of the municipalities in which it operates. The president of Ocepar mentioned that 64% of Paraná's crops are received by the cooperatives, which have 143 agribusinesses in operation. “Given the global scenario, good opportunities are opening up for Paraná and we cannot miss them. The sector's goal is to reach R$300 billion in revenue over the next three years,” stated Ricken.

Results

Some figures presented at the AGM were: Coopavel's revenue in 2024 was R$5,32 billion. Investments totaled R$250 million, and profit was R$122,6 million. On the last business day of 2024, there were 7.661 members and 7.295 employees. Coopavel has 33 branches and is present in 21 cities in the West and Southwest of Paraná. The results, the allocation of surpluses, the opinions and the objectives for 2025 were unanimously approved.

The goals for this year include: expanding storage and improving branches, expanding and building new input industries, and improving the organizational structure. The new members of the Fiscal Council, for the 2025 term and elected by acclamation at the assembly, are as follows: Gustavo Riepenhoff, Luís Felipe Orsatto, Flávio Marcolin, Luiz Boni, Adilar Luiz Rosso, and Junior Antônio Brandini.
