Coopavel was one of the cooperatives that participated in the closing of the Innovation Program within the DigitalAgro event, held at the Parque Barigui Exhibition Center, in Curitiba. Around 50 people linked to cooperatives in Western Paraná were enrolled in Hora 193, which ended a training program organized by Sistema Ocepar in partnership with Sescoop and Isae.

A group of Coopavel employees participated in a 192-hour innovation program for months. They attended various modules, workshops and other activities related to the topic. And in Curitiba, Hora 193 had lectures and even the launch of a book that marked the end of this stage. The book released, based on central aspects of the training, was co-written by Academic Ventures professors Hélio Gomes de Carvalho and Gustavo Dambiski de Carvalho. The title of the work is Innovation management in cooperatives: a path to innovate.

The importance of innovating

The president of Coopavel, Dilvo Grolli, informs that innovation is present in all phases of construction and consolidation of the cooperative, today one of the 15 largest in Brazil. “Innovation is a necessity to remain in such a competitive market with so many possibilities”, according to Dilvo. The cooperative even has a committee and a specific environment to think and keep the cooperative connected with the latest news.

Coopavel's Innovation Manager, Kleberson Angelossi, highlights that Espaço Impulso, opened during the Rural Show in February, is moving towards becoming the largest laboratory for innovative solutions for Brazilian agribusiness. “We have a testing field with 720 thousand square meters, dedicated to partnership and sharing of new knowledge throughout the year”, adds Coopavel's IT manager, Rogério Aver.

Ocepar and partners handed out trophies to the cooperatives participating in the Innovation Program. The 192 hours of activities must be sequenced and progress towards postgraduate status.
