Rust Monitoring Program Launched in Rio Grande do Sul
Activities for the 2024-25 harvest began with the installation of 74 spore collectors in soybean crops in the state
One of the locations most affected by the micro-explosion on June 15th in Coopatrigo, the URP and the UBS, led the Cooperative's Board of Directors to make the decision to promote a modernization of the location with new structures for the Seed Processing Unit and recovery of the Warehouse that serves as support for the movement of grains from the Units and storage of the grains that the associates leave deposited at Coopatrigo.
The Granary Warehouse is being set back slightly, allowing for an internal road connecting the UBS to the URP yard, accessing the storage shed that will now be used to store seeds ready for their final destination, and new hoppers that will be renovated to handle the receipt of seeds. New flows will be built next to the hoppers that will lead to new silos that will also be built in this modernization, allowing the receipt of different varieties at the same time.
The warehouse, which had its entire roof ripped off during the storm, will receive a completely new roof, allowing it to continue supporting all the grain movement that Coopatrigo carries out throughout the year.
The President of Coopatrigo, Paulo Pires, said that dealing with the destruction caused by the storm is possible, including with new investments, thanks to the Cooperative's Management that focuses on results in all sectors, with members aware that Coopatrigo being capitalized provides security and credibility, allowing investments in structures that meet the needs of the members themselves.
