Stem breakage and grain rot are highlights at the Soybean Research Meeting
Since the 2018/2019 harvest, grain rot has been a recurring problem in the mid-north region of Mato Grosso and Rondônia
This week, the State Secretariat for Agriculture, Livestock and Supply (Seapa) participated in the 403rd Ordinary Meeting of the Deliberative Chamber of the Development Council of the State of Goiás (CD/CDE) for a new phase of evaluations and approvals of the selected consultation letters to the Central-West Constitutional Fund, in the Rural modality (FCO Rural). At the online meeting, 15 letters were accepted, making R$17,3 million available for use in agriculture and livestock in 12 municipalities in Goiás.
Regarding scheduled activities, corn and soybean crops had the most proposals from producers, with 7 consultation letters approved. Beef cattle farming had 6 cards, while poultry farming and dairy farming had 1 each. The investment will be directed by producers to reinforce and/or acquire implements, machinery, matrices, repair of pastures, as well as improvements and breeding stock. Of the amount, R$ 9,6 million will be allocated to small rural establishments, R$ 7,05 million will benefit small-medium sized ones, and R$ 631 thousand will be allocated to mini producers.
Since 2022, proposals have been submitted digitally, which has made the process more agile. In Goiás, the FCO's Digital Consultation Letter System receives financing proposals starting at R$500. FCO resources can be requested by rural producers or businesspeople, regardless of size, to obtain financing that fits into one of the programs/lines provided for in the Fund's programming.
The average time for evaluating the Letter of Consultation by CDE-GO is 30 days, and the time for contracting financing by the financial institution is approximately 60 days, which may, depending on the case, exceed this period. The term of validity of the Letter of Consultation is 180 days, and may be extended once for the same period.
From January 2024 until June of the same year, 7 CD/CDE meetings have already been held, approving 214 consultation letters for 84 municipalities and making R$281,5 million available to strengthen agriculture and livestock farming in Goiás, accumulating a forecast of 249 jobs.
